FAQ’s
-
Nutritional Therapy is a personalized approach to health that uses food, supplements, and lifestyle changes to support the body’s natural healing processes.
-
A nutrient-dense, properly prepared whole foods diet focuses on eating foods that are rich in vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients. It emphasizes whole, unprocessed foods—such as vegetables, fruits, quality meats, whole grains, and healthy fats—that are prepared in traditional ways (like soaking, fermenting, or slow-cooking) to enhance digestion and nutrient absorption.
-
From a functional perspective, foundational health steps are key lifestyle and nutritional practices that support the body’s core systems and promote long-term wellness. These include maintaining proper mineral balance, consuming essential fatty acids, staying well-hydrated, regulating blood sugar levels, supporting healthy digestion, and following a nutrient-dense, properly prepared whole foods diet. Together, these foundations help restore balance, optimize function, and address the root causes of many health issues.
-
A symptom burden analysis is a tool used to assess the frequency and severity of a person’s symptoms to identify potential imbalances needing support. We use the NAQ (Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire) to provide a comprehensive view of your health. This detailed analysis helps us track patterns across different body systems and guide personalized nutrition and lifestyle recommendations.
-
When it comes to changing your diet, we understand that giving up foods you love can feel overwhelming. That’s why we focus first on adding in nourishing, beneficial foods and lifestyle habits, allowing many less supportive choices to naturally fall away. In some cases, we may recommend a short-term elimination diet to help identify food triggers and give your body a chance to rest and heal. This process is not usually permanent—most foods can be thoughtfully reintroduced in moderation once your system has had time to recover.
